Notice of Dismissal "The Platform"

Hi all,
I am sorry to inform you that this "Platform" is officially dismissed.
Based on the several discussions with the Student Council, I have decided to give way as we cannot reach an agreement about the proposed collaboration between Platform and Student Council.
The reason of this dismissal is because that the proposed collaboration has too many limitations and restrictions over the Platform, as under these limitation, the Platform would not be able to develop in the way I thought. As I have been pressing the importance of freestyle, everyone can be a leader, and also the avoidance of those traditional hierarchical system, It would be impossible to achieve these targets if we are under student council.
I have to admit that I am being selfish, and I reached this decision during the discussion over the collaboration of Student Council. For me, I would risk anything to protect my idea, especially when my members told me about how good this idea is. But if the times come, I would rather give up this idea rather than compromise too much of it. Without this idea, anything we do for this group will be meaningless, I truly believe all of the members would agree with me.
Apart from that, my intention is to bring benefits, which I put a lot of weights on organizing event for students in order to develop soft skills, most importantly, we will be having a great and sweet memory when we try to recall what we have done during our college life. Since the Student Council is now being set up, and carrying an overlapping function with ours, I do not see the need for another group to exist, which might cause confusion among students.
Lastly, I would like to thank everyone of you, for willing to listen to my crazy idea, willing to share about your opinion, and spend your precious time with me about the discussion of this platform. I want to thank Binz, Shan, M.Jay and Grace for spending your time with me, unfortunately we fail to make an impact, I am truly sorry for any disappointment that I caused.
I would like to urge all of us, who is interested and enthusiastic about involving in co-curriculum activities in college, pls try your best to help the Student Council, or participate them in bringing more fun to all Crescendo students. Please remember that no matter what course we are studying, we still come from one big family, which is Crescendo. I apologize again for any mistake that I have made, and all the effort that you have contributed.
The Platform might not be there, but the Idea always exists!!!
